Chichen Itza, Mexico

Greetings!
I figure no one wants to read a long and boring description of my life,
so I thought I would just cut to the chase and provide you with the basics.

Birthdate
January 1970
(That would make me 37 now.  Wow, where have the years gone?)

Birthplace
Heidelberg, Germany
(West Germany at the time.  My mother is German, and my father was in the US Army.   Need I say more?  Okay, just call me an Army brat.)

Hometown
Sierra Vista, Arizona
(Hence the photo on the main page.  It's a nice little town, way out in the middle of butt nowhere in southeastern Arizona.  As a teenager, the favorite pastime was to stuff ten buddies into the car and go through the McDonalds' drive-thru backwards, and at 11pm.)

Family
I am the youngest of four kids.  I have two older sisters and an older brother.   Oh yeah, and I have one mom and one dad.  I also have a pet.  She's a Jack Russell Terrier, and her name is Zucker (that's 'sugar' in German).  Click here to see her picture!

School
Hmm, it seems like I've been in school my entire life... wait a minute... I think I have!   I did the standard 12 years up through high school, graduating from Buena High in Sierra Vista in 1988.  Then I went on to college at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where I got a Bachelor of Music degree in music education (1994).  After that I got my Master of Music degree in orchestral conducting from the University of North Texas (1998) in Denton, Texas.  And now I have just completed (with flying colors, I might add) an advanced certification program at the University of Southern California in Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television.  It's been a long road so far, but definately worth it.

Career
Music has always been an important part of my life.  I started playing the piano at age eleven, and shortly afterwards began to write music.  When I turned seventeen, I heard a symphony orchestra play live for the first time.  It was a moment that would change my life.  They were the Tucson Symphony Orchestra, and they were amazing.   I knew from that very night on that I wanted to be a conductor.   That continues to be my goal.

Contact Information
Please feel free to contact me for any reason, but most especially if you are a movie director and need music for your multi-million-dollar-budget film or if you are a conductor (choral or orchestral) and need someone to fill in for you.  And if you are neither of these, I would still love to hear from you!
